Chicken Salad Ceasar Recipe

Image
After a long trip back to South Africa, I'm finally back and set to share with all of you this recipe I came to execute myself even though I had to taste one similar in a fast food back in Cameroon. If you're thinking of making something quick and easy that include some veggies and pieces of chicken, this recipe is appropriate for you! You may find one of the ingredient as a surprise, but cooking my way is usually not out of a cooking book but according to a different taste I'm looking for in a dish. What about the ingredients? For this Ceasar Salad, you'll need these: - Avocado - Roman Salad - Fried Chicken pieces - Carrots - Red Cabbage - Roman tomatoes - White onions - White pepper - Half lemon Juice - Lemon zest As for the quantities for a meal of 2 to 3 people, you can have an idea from the picture to your right. Which of these is then the surprise ingredient? Well, I bought my fried chicken at "Chicken Licken" makin...

Travelling to Cameroon

Above skies I left OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa in a hurry two weeks ago. I had to board my flight going to Jomo Kenyatta in Nairobi-Kenya at midnight and only realized that at - 40 minutes from the departure. Where was I?  Two hours before my husband and I started moving in all senses to catch my luggages, we were gently having a wonderful time watching "Skyfall" (such a good movie by the way ;) Didn't have time to have a proper goodbye episode that I was already in the air, exhausted to have beaten Usain Bolt sprint record and looking like a mushroom :) Resting in turbulences Here I am, watching the skies sometimes, sleeping the others or listening to music and praying to land safely in Douala International Airport from Kenya.  I barely ate on the plane because I didn't want to feel nauseous and beside what was served was not that yummy to my taste. The orange juice though was a pure wonder. Kenya Airways w...

Before I finally found a way of dealing with this problem, i made researches, googled and watched several youtube videos but all didn't seem to succeed in my kitchen. Seeing myself buying over and over again the same herbs 3 times a week brought me one morning to say :"And if i try keeping them this simple way?" Which herbs are we talking about? The herbs I use regularly are: "basil, oregano, rosemary and spring onions".  I usually buy them at a Fruit and Vegetables store not far from my house. They are sold in sealed packages and intended to be kept in a cold temperature once at home. Anyway, I broke that rule one morning and seeing the results, I no longer keep the herbs mentioned in the fridge. This is what I do: The example shown here is based on rosemary. The steps to follow are also applicable to basil and oregano. 1. Re...

I made this yesterday as a way of saying "Welcome Home". Why? Sometimes as a woman, you need to surprise your partner, boyfriend or even husband not only with a sexy nuisette hehehe, but also with a delicious meal. In Cameroon which is my home town, it is said :"Man is all about the stomach and the lower abdomen" A woman needs to develop kitchen skills and sexual techniques to keep her man satisfied. Don't ask me how it all started lol, I found the rule and it has been transmitted through generations. Back to cooking! As ingredients you'll need: - Six pieces of chicken breast - Black pepper - White pepper - Rosemary leaves - White onion - Roman tomatoes - Green pepper  - Half of a lime or lemon - Garlic - Salt - 10 potatoes Once you've clea...
