Tourism in Douala - Cameroon

Image
Cameroon, your next destination! Like the majority of African countries, Cameroon remains relatively unknown to the general public. Many travellers still have a confused image of the typical features among tourist continental destinations. Nevertheless, Cameroon stands out with a genuine identity expressing diversity and stability, modernity and traditions, dynamism and calm, at once.  In short, the country concentrates all the beauties of Africa; which explains why people consider that nobody could really discover Africa without having visited Cameroon. These videos are the first of a serie that will cover the all country in order for all visitors and tourists to have a significant idea of what to expect during their stay. Why you should visit? The country is full of melting and contrasting views, which provide tourists with a unique spectacle. This ancestral land relies on a symbiosis between sea and desert, waterfalls and Sahara area, temperate climate in

Liman Boucar: "Le Grand Maître d'Africa"

To "Big Chop" or not to?

Image
It's snowing in Cape Town, so windy in Johannesburg and yet I've decided to "chop" that hair from my head and have no regrets at all since then :) How it all started I cut my hair (the first round) on November 2012 because after my two pregnancies my hair became a complete mess: "long, short, medium, kinky, dry, smooth..." I had all those kinds in one head and as it was not enough, my hair colour turned dark brown instead of remaining black. So, I got mad and remove all those mountains and "everests" and gave myself a good ride on equal plains with no valleys hehehe. Hold on! Watch the full video of my big chop by following this link:  "My Big Chop: "Relaxed to Natural Hair" 10 months later My hair later on grew equally and looked healthy but as I couldn't bear the pain when I had to comb the regrowths following the two relaxing phases I had in between, I started thinking it's maybe tim

BHB aka "Beignets, Haricots, Bouillie"

Image

"My Days & me" The story of an intimate relationship

Image
Oh come on, why would close this article so soon? Read it all! You might not be concerned (if you're a man) but this will definitely help all the women around you, I can assure you :) My Days, for Who? This is an Android App for every woman who would like to track her Period and Ovulation. Either you're trying to conceive (TTC) or just would love to finally have the proper idea of what kind of cycle you have, this app is one word: "GREAT" For how long exactly have I been using this? I think it must be more than two years now. I can still remember how I used to mark days on my printed calendar at my bedside and occasionally messing days in my head by often setting the wrong date as a start of Aunt Flow... aahhh such funny memories.  Anyway, the day I discovered this app, I found out that having to calculate (I'm such a dummy in maths) when will my next period start or the days of my ovulation was no more a monthly headache. I had it all fore

My Last Trip Souvenirs

Image
Or should I say "Accessories" from here and elsewhere :) This picture presents one of the products I couldn't leave behind, especially the one with the "Green, Red and Yellow" colours of the Cameroonian flag. I searched it for a long time and finally got the chance to take it back with me here. I don't quite remember their price but I will give you an estimation. These bangles costs 500 Cfa Francs each. I'm not selling anything here guys, just sharing with you some of the beautiful things I keep as souvenirs from my travels and journeys (rather than wearing them really hahaha) and if I'm overloaded with jewelries I'll gladly offer them to my precious Mom :) Elephant skin This one was bought in a flea market in South Africa, actually a man's accessory but it can also fit a woman's wrist. This peace of elephant skin was sold at a higher price around Zar 200.  I'm strongly against poaching and

Mon "Minuit Chrétien" à moi

Image

Passion is the key

Image
Have you ever had one of these days when you feel like everything is wrong, unhappy and disorientated? That was me yesterday. But luckily, I remembered a companion I haven't walked with for ages because of life challenges and difficulties: "My beloved Camera" After working for few hours in the morning of June 11, I decided to take a walk down my street to shoot whatever would come my way or catch my eye. As we grow old we tend to realize that we do not allow ourselves to focus more on those hobbies that can bring us a feeling of fulfilment. Instead we let ourselves drown in stress and always strive to work hard, always harder for a better future instead of living the present moment to it best. Passion is everything My passion or should I say one of my passion is "Photography". It's one of those gift that when I'm exercising, I feel happy, strong, refreshed, joyful... It makes me actually feel am alive and stress free. It help

How to get rid of a "Runny Nose"?

Image
This might be a question worth $1 000 000 if you're also a victim of this disease often referred to as "What on earth have I done to deserve this?!" It's been more than 15 years now that me and my nose are constantly disagreeing on how to cope with: - Dust - Temperature changes  - Moisture - Pollen - House Mites - ... It's said there are two types of allergies: "non allergic and allergic". Guess what? I have them both.  Types of Allergies Wait, let me present the difference to you before we continue: - If you present an aggravating reaction to smoke for example or your nose respond to hormonal changes then you're a mate of "non allergic" buddies, this one being the most difficult to treat - If you constantly have hay fever or rhinitis instead, and react to things such as: latex, chemicals... you're suffering from the "allergic" type of runny nose nuisance. Shame! but don't worry that one, you

Shop for a soccer boot for nearly 2 hours tutorial

Image
Hello everyone. Today I'm going to share with you a curious and funny experience I had with my hubby at the Adidas store. We left home to shop for goods to finally have him driving to shop for a "soccer boot". He likes sport, especially soccer. Here he is at the shop and as I mentioned in my facebook profile, there are 6 steps to shop for a shoe of that kind from a man perspective: Step 1: Among several shoes on the shelves, find the one that suit your eyes. Step 2: Not so sure of your finding, take a sit and google. Then, go back to the shelves and check the names on the price tag.
