Campus days

Back in the days...

Had so much fun with these two. We studied Travel and Tourism at Damelin, one of South Africa's top higher education institution.

From Gabon, they were extremely friendly and easy to connect to. Even though they only spoke english during lectures (they're native french speakers) they considerably improved their pronunciation during the years.

I enjoyed chatting with them, sharing thoughts on what we were intending to do once we were done with the stress of studies. The picture above was taken during winter 2012. We just finished our exams and were moving to have a snack to chill before we moved home.

And here comes Mr Sandey Bernard.

He was our first year Travel & Tourism Coordinator. An excellent lecturer and i mean those words :). He transmitted his knowledge on Practice and Development.

He seemed to forget sometimes that we were just first learners because he used to feed us with so much to learn at once. Anyway, the fact that we was so into was he was teaching us himself got us hooked on our books no matter what.

From how to dress ourselves officially in regard to the career we were moving forward to or the way in which we should handle oral presentations, we learned much from him and we are keeping a positive memory from this guy and he can count on us to spread a positive word of mouth :)

Mrs Chantelle Maharaj

For our Communication and Public Relations lectures, we were granted this lovely lady. Always smiling, I can still hear her laugh in my ears. They say indians laugh or smiles a lot. That might be true :)

I was told one day that she finally got angry and reprimanded everybody in the class. Unfortunately for me, i was not in that day because I would have certainly laugh from what i heard she did. All I said to my mates is that she was certainly having a bad day that's all and shared a bit of her anger to poor students hehe.

Did someone mentioned Mr Kevin Midgley?

This man oh my gosh, what can i say...

He would have been the best but he wasn't and we'll forever think of him as a lecturer who didn't wanted to transmit knowledge anymore but instead needed to retire.

He wasn't tired or anything physically. He just kept on talking about life's stuffs instead of focusing on Management courses.

Resulting from that, more than half of the class failed the subject. I escaped, didn't had to rewrite but i pitied my friends who couldn't cope with not having proper lectures on the subject.

Can you see how the class looked empty during his sessions ;(?
